Washington High School Basketball - Wenatchee can't hold off Cheney
December 30, 2022: Cheney, WA 99004 The Cheney Blackhawks basketball team scored 61 points and restricted the visiting Wenatchee Panthers to 56 in the Blackhawks non-league victory on Friday.
The Blackhawks now sport a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mt. Spokane for a 2A/3A/4A Greater Spokane contest on Tuesday, January 3. Cheney will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 75-42 non-league win over Central Valley (Spokane Valley, WA). The Wildcats record now stands at 8-1.
The Panthers (1-9) will now prepare for their contest against Kentwood (Covington, WA). The Conquerors come into the non-league contest with a 3-4 record. In their last contest, Kentwood was nudged by Stanwood (Stanwood, WA), 62-57, in a non-league contest.
