In Friday's non-league match, the host Odyssey Institute Minotaur basketball team scored a good 59-49 triumph over the Cicero Prep Academy Centurions.

In their next game, the Minotaur face the Yuma Catholic Shamrocks (Yuma, AZ) in a 3A West match, on Tuesday, January 3. Odyssey Institute will attempt to move on its 5-7 season record. The Shamrocks enter the match with a 9-1 record after their 48-41 non-league loss to Bradshaw Mountain (Prescott Valley, AZ).

With the defeat, Cicero Prep Academy moves to 4-6 on the year. The Centurions host Santa Cruz Valley (Eloy, AZ) to face the Dust Devils in a non-league match on Tuesday, January 3.
