December 30, 2022: North Easton, MA 02356 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Oliver Ames Tigers (North Easton, MA) and the visiting Classical Purples (Providence, RI), saw Oliver Ames's basketball squad hold off Classical by a count of 55-54.
With the victory, Oliver Ames upgrades its record to 3-3 on the campaign. The Tigers host Cardinal Spellman (Brockton, MA) to play the Cardinals in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 30. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a record of 2-1. Cardinal Spellman won 56-36 in their recent non-league challenge against Oliver Ames (North Easton, MA)
Next up, the Purples play the Smithfield Sentinels (Esmond, RI) in a State Championship challenge, on Tuesday, January 3. Classical will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record. The Sentinels come into the challenge with a 1-3 record after their 52-41 non-league win over Cheney RVT (Manchester, CT).
