Texas High School Basketball - Deer Park can't hold off Cypress Park
December 30, 2022: Cypress, TX 77433 The Cypress Park Tigers basketball team scored 59 points and restricted the visiting Deer Park Deer to 57 in the Tigers non-league victory on Friday.
The Tigers now sport a 9-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cypress Lakes for a 6A Region II District 16 contest on Tuesday, January 3. Cypress Park will battle a Spartans team coming off a 62-59 non-league loss to Jersey Village (Houston, TX). The Spartans record now stands at 9-9.
The Deer (16-6) will now prepare for their contest against Pasadena Memorial (Pasadena, TX). The Mavericks come into the 6A Region III District 22 contest with a 15-8 record. In their last contest, Pasadena Memorial was nudged by Cypress Springs (Cypress, TX), 64-50, in a non-league contest.
