The De Leon Bearcats basketball team scored 41 points and held the visiting Sidney Eagles to 32 in the Bearcats non-league triumph on Friday.

The Bearcats now sport a 4-14 record. They play next when they travel to Hico for a 2A Region II District 11 bout on Tuesday, January 3.

Next up, the Eagles play the Santo Wildcats (Santo, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 30. Sidney will attempt to upgrade on its 11-10 season record. The Wildcats come into the bout with a 2-15 record after their 63-59 non-league loss to Meyer (Waco, TX).
