The Pioneer Valley Panthers (Santa Maria, CA) basketball nipped the visiting Delano Tigers (Delano, CA), 52-50 in Friday's non-league test.

The Panthers (1-13) will now prepare for their test against Mission Prep (San Luis Obispo, CA). The Royals go into the Mountain test with a 8-5 record. In their last test, Mission Prep was tipped by Gonzaga Prep (Spokane, WA), 65-50, in a non-league test.

The Tigers now own a 4-11 record. They play next when they host Kennedy for a South Sequoia test on Thursday, January 5.
