California High School Basketball - El Modena overwhelms Santiago
December 30, 2022: Garden Grove, CA 92843 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the El Modena Vanguards (Orange, CA) and the host Santiago Cavaliers (Garden Grove, CA), saw El Modena's basketball squad wallop Santiago by a count of 67-40.
With the victory, El Modena upgrades its record to 13-5 on the campaign. The Vanguards travel to Foothill (Santa Ana, CA) to play the Knights in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 3. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 15-1. Foothill won 65-59 in their recent non-league challenge against Mater Dei Catholic (Chula Vista, CA)
Next up, the Cavaliers play the Bolsa Grande Matadors (Garden Grove, CA) in a Garden Grove challenge, on Wednesday, January 4. Santiago will attempt to upgrade on its 10-8 season record. The Matadors come into the challenge with a 5-11 record after their 68-34 non-league win over Magnolia (Anaheim, CA).
