Texas High School Basketball - Iredell overwhelms Evant
December 30, 2022: Evant, TX 76525 Fans at Friday's non-league battle between the Iredell Dragons (Iredell, TX) and the host Evant Elks (Evant, TX), saw Iredell's basketball team trounce Evant by a score of 52-23.
The Dragons now sport a 4-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Walnut Springs for a 1A Region III District 20 battle on Tuesday, January 3. Iredell will battle a Hornets team coming off a 45-44 non-league loss to Bynum (Bynum, TX). The Hornets record now stands at 0-5.
The Elks (1-2) will now prepare for their battle against Zephyr (Zephyr, TX). The Bulldogs come into the 1A Region III District 18 battle with a 6-7 record. In their last battle, Zephyr trounced Blanket (Blanket, TX), 42-26, in a league battle.
