With the victory, Giddings improves its record to 13-5 on the campaign. The Buffaloes travel to Smithville (Smithville, TX) to confront the Tigers in a 4A Region III District 22 challenge on Tuesday, January 3. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 7-9. Smithville won 67-65 in their recent non-league challenge against Luling (Luling, TX)
Next up, the Lions encounter the Calvert Trojans (Calvert, TX) in a 1A Region IV District 29 test, on Tuesday, January 3. Fayetteville will attempt to advance on its 12-7 season record. The Trojans go into the test with a 5-11 record after their 54-37 non-league win over Iola (Iola, TX).
