Illinois High School Basketball - Glenwood nips Payton College Prep
December 30, 2022: Chatham, IL 62629 Glenwood Titans (Chatham, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Payton College Prep Grizzlies (Chicago, IL), 40-37 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Glenwood upgrades its record to 6-7 on the season. The Titans travel to Champaign Central (Champaign, IL) to play the Maroons in a non-league bout on Friday, December 30. The Maroons go into the bout with a record of 2-7. Champaign Central won 47-37 in their recent non-league bout against Dyett (Chicago, IL)
Next up, the Grizzlies play the Lake View Wildcats (Chicago, IL) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 9. Payton College Prep will attempt to upgrade on its 10-5 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 5-9 record after their 69-56 non-league loss to Raby (Chicago, IL).
