December 30, 2022: Madison, TN 37115 The Goodpasture Christian Cougars (Madison, TN) basketball felled the visiting Morristown-Hamblen West Trojans (Morristown, TN), 55-40 in Friday's non-league test.
The Cougars (11-1) will now prepare for their test against Friendship Christian (Lebanon, TN). The Commanders go into the Division II-A Middle District 4 test with a 9-8 record. In their last test, Friendship Christian was beaten by Antioch (Antioch, TN), 61-59, in a non-league test.
The Trojans now own a 7-5 record. They play next when they travel to Cocke County for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 3. Morristown-Hamblen West will encounter a Fighting Cocks squad coming off a 72-60 non-league win over Carrollwood Day (Tampa, FL). The Fighting Cocks record now stands at 9-5.
