The Pineywoods Community Academy Timberwolves topped the host Groveton Indians basketball team by a final score of 51-42 in Friday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Timberwolves face the Goodrich Hornets (Goodrich, TX) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, December 31. Pineywoods Community Academy will attempt to better on its 9-11 season record. The Hornets come into the contest with a 0-14 record after their 71-18 non-league loss to Coldspring-Oakhurst (Coldspring, TX).

The Indians (10-7) will now prepare for their contest against Jasper (Jasper, TX). The Bulldogs come into the non-league contest with a 10-5 record. In their last contest, Jasper prevailed over Vidor (Vidor, TX), 73-68, in a non-league contest.
