Texas High School Basketball - Hallsville nips Magnolia
December 30, 2022: Magnolia, TX 77353 Hallsville Bobcats (Hallsville, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Magnolia Bulldogs (Magnolia, TX), 55-48 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Hallsville upgrades its record to 13-7 on the season. The Bobcats travel to Mt. Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, TX) to play the Tigers in a 5A Region II District 15 bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 20-0. Mt. Pleasant won 49-40 in their recent non-league bout against Independence (Frisco, TX)
Next up, the Bulldogs play the Rudder Rangers (Bryan, TX) in a 5A Region III District 21 bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Magnolia will attempt to upgrade on its 6-14 season record. The Rangers go into the bout with a 19-3 record after their 60-49 non-league win over Shoemaker (Killeen, TX).
