The Paraclete Spirits basketball team scored 51 points and held the host Hesperia Scorpions to 49 in the Spirits non-league triumph on Friday.

The Spirits now sport a 16-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host La Salle for a Camino Real contest on Wednesday, January 4. Paraclete will meet a Lancers team coming off a 74-57 non-league win over Sylmar (Sylmar, CA). The Lancers record now stands at 6-9.

The Scorpions (10-5) will now prepare for their contest against Oak Hills (Hesperia, CA). The Bulldogs enter the Mojave River contest with a 5-9 record. In their last contest, Oak Hills nudged Valencia (Valencia, CA), 71-67, in a non-league contest.
