Texas High School Basketball - Cooper tops Hillcrest
December 30, 2022: Dallas, TX 75230 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Cooper Pirates (Lubbock, TX) and the host Hillcrest Panthers (Dallas, TX), saw Cooper's basketball squad knock off Hillcrest by a count of 63-52.
With the victory, Cooper upgrades its record to 12-7 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Coronado (Lubbock, TX) to play the Mustangs in a 5A Region I District 4 challenge on Tuesday, January 3. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 11-7. Coronado lost 83-48 in their recent non-league challenge against Trinity Christian (Lubbock, TX)
Next up, the Panthers play the Wilson Wildcats (Dallas, TX) in a 5A Region II District 11 challenge, on Tuesday, January 3. Hillcrest will attempt to upgrade on its 4-10 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 17-6 record after their 56-36 non-league win over White (Dallas, TX).
