December 30, 2022: Ilwaco, WA 98624 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Ilwaco Fishermen (Ilwaco, WA) and the visiting Morton/White Pass Timberwolves (Morton, WA), saw Ilwaco's basketball squad hold off Morton/White Pass by a count of 59-58.
With the victory, Ilwaco upgrades its record to 6-4 on the campaign. The Fishermen host Ocosta (Westport, WA) to play the Wildcats in a 2B Pacific challenge on Tuesday, January 3. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 5-5. Ocosta won 69-24 in their recent non-league challenge against Taholah (Taholah, WA)
Next up, the Timberwolves play the Wahkiakum Mules (Cathlamet, WA) in a 2B Central challenge, on Thursday, January 5. Morton/White Pass will attempt to upgrade on its 8-2 season record. The Mules come into the challenge with a 6-1 record after their 60-50 non-league win over Orcas Island (Eastsound, WA).
