Tennessee High School Basketball - Lafayette overwhelms Mitchell
December 30, 2022: Memphis, TN 38109 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Lafayette Fighting Irish (St. Joseph, MO) and the host Mitchell Tigers (Memphis, TN), saw Lafayette's basketball squad wallop Mitchell by a tally of 98-72.
With the victory, Lafayette improves its record to 4-3 on the campaign. The Fighting Irish host Roncalli Catholic (Omaha, NE) to confront the Crimson Pride in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 7. The Crimson Pride come into the challenge with a record of 5-3.
Next up, the Tigers confront the Manassas Tigers (Memphis, TN) in a 2A District 15 challenge, on Tuesday, January 3. Mitchell will attempt to improve on its 1-11 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 1-2 record after their 59-53 non-league win over Sheffield (Memphis, TN).
