Texas High School Basketball - Wylie fells Little River Academy
December 30, 2022: Little River Academy, TX 76554 Wylie Bulldogs (Abilene, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Little River Academy Bumblebees (Little River Academy, TX), 54-45 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Wylie upgrades its record to 8-12 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Monterey (Lubbock, TX) to play the Plainsmen in a 5A Region I District 4 bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Plainsmen go into the bout with a record of 13-8. Monterey won 54-40 in their recent non-league bout against Weatherford (Weatherford, TX)
Next up, the Bumblebees play the Rogers Eagles (Rogers, TX) in a 3A Region III District 19 bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Little River Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 12-7 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 5-9 record after their 42-41 non-league win over Marlin (Marlin, TX).
