In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Porter Ridge Pirates basketball team scored a decisive 72-29 triumph over the McBee Panthers.

In their next game, the Pirates meet the Marvin Ridge Mavericks (Waxhaw, NC) in a 4A Conference 58 match, on Tuesday, January 3. Porter Ridge will attempt to move on its 6-7 season record. The Mavericks enter the match with a 7-6 record after their 48-47 non-league win over Riverside (Greer, SC).
