Illinois High School Basketball - St. Joseph-Ogden fells Normal University
December 30, 2022: St. Joseph, IL 61873 St. Joseph-Ogden Spartans (St. Joseph, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Normal University Pioneers (Normal, IL), 58-49 in a non-league bout.
With the win, St. Joseph-Ogden upgrades its record to 11-0 on the season. The Spartans travel to Williamsville (Williamsville, IL) to play the Bullets in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Bullets go into the bout with a record of 9-1. Williamsville won 51-48 in their recent non-league bout against Tolono Unity (Tolono, IL)
Next up, the Pioneers play the Jacksonville Crimsons (Jacksonville, IL) in a Central State Eight bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Normal University will attempt to upgrade on its 9-5 season record. The Crimsons go into the bout with a 3-12 record after their 68-30 non-league loss to Springfield Southeast (Springfield, IL).
