California High School Basketball - Oak Park nips Sage Hill
December 30, 2022: Newport Beach, CA 92625 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Oak Park Eagles (Oak Park, CA) and the host Sage Hill Lightning (Newport Beach, CA), saw Oak Park's basketball squad hold off Sage Hill by a tally of 44-40.
With the victory, Oak Park improves its record to 10-7 on the campaign. The Eagles host Royal (Simi Valley, CA) to play the Highlanders in a Coastal Canyon challenge on Wednesday, January 4. The Highlanders come into the challenge with a record of 7-12. Royal lost 59-53 in their recent non-league challenge against Canyon Springs (North Las Vegas, NV)
Next up, the Lightning play the Irvine Vaqueros (Irvine, CA) in a Pacific Coast challenge, on Tuesday, January 3. Sage Hill will attempt to improve on its 2-9 season record. The Vaqueros come into the challenge with a 11-8 record after their 47-34 non-league win over El Modena (Orange, CA).
