December 30, 2022: Pearl River, LA 70452 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Pearl River Rebels (Pearl River, LA) and the visiting South Plaquemines Hurricanes (Buras, LA), saw Pearl River's basketball squad knock off South Plaquemines by a tally of 61-42.
With the victory, Pearl River improves its record to 6-6 on the campaign. The Rebels host Pope John Paul II (Slidell, LA) to play the Jaguars in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 3. Next up, the Hurricanes play the Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy Tigers (Avondale, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 3. South Plaquemines will attempt to improve on its 4-9 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 6-3 record after their 42-36 non-league win over International (New Orleans, LA).
