December 30, 2022: Eunice, LA 70535 The St. Edmund Fighting Blue Jays (Eunice, LA) basketball felled the visiting Sulphur Golden Tors (Sulphur, LA), 59-50 in Friday's non-league test.
The Fighting Blue Jays (4-3) will now prepare for their test against Central Private (Baker, LA). The Redhawks go into the non-league test with a 6-2 record. In their last test, Central Private thwarted Catholic - N.I. (New Iberia, LA), 51-44, in a non-league test.
The Golden Tors now own a 12-5 record. They play next when they host Lake Arthur for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 3. Sulphur will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 53-44 non-league win over Mamou (Mamou, LA). The Tigers record now stands at 4-5.
