December 30, 2022: Santa Monica, CA 90403 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy Warriors (Downey, CA) and the host St. Monica Mariners (Santa Monica, CA), saw St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy's basketball squad overcome St. Monica by a tally of 59-45.
With the victory, St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy improves its record to 10-4 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Pacifica Christian/Orange County (Newport Beach, CA) to confront the Tritons in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 31. The Tritons come into the challenge with a record of 11-6. Pacifica Christian/Orange County lost 53-46 in their recent non-league challenge against Colony (Ontario, CA)
Next up, the Mariners confront the Notre Dame (SO) Knights (Sherman Oaks, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 3. St. Monica will attempt to improve on its 3-9 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 9-6 record after their 76-66 non-league loss to American Fork (American Fork, UT).
