Georgia High School Basketball - Walnut Grove nips West Forsyth
December 30, 2022: Cumming, GA 30040 Walnut Grove Warriors (Walnut Grove, GA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host West Forsyth Wolverines (Cumming, GA), 57-55 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Walnut Grove upgrades its record to 5-9 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Madison County (Danielsville, GA) to play the Red Raiders in a AAAA Region 8B bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Red Raiders come into the bout with a record of 12-2. Madison County won 73-57 in their recent non-league bout against Hebron Christian Academy (Dacula, GA)
Next up, the Wolverines play the Forsyth Central Bulldogs (Cumming, GA) in a AAAAAAA Region 6 bout, on Friday, January 6. West Forsyth will attempt to upgrade on its 6-7 season record. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a 1-12 record after their 54-46 non-league loss to Saltillo (Saltillo, MS).
