The Wills Point Tigers basketball team scored 56 points and held the host Whitesboro Bearcats to 45 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Friday.

The Tigers now sport a 16-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Community for a 4A Region II District 14 contest on Tuesday, January 3. Wills Point will battle a Braves team coming off a 45-42 non-league loss to Seagoville (Dallas, TX). The Braves record now stands at 2-13.

The Bearcats (3-9) will now prepare for their contest against Boyd (Boyd, TX). The Yellowjackets enter the 3A Region II District 10 contest with a 13-5 record. In their last contest, Boyd was defeated by Springtown (Springtown, TX), 54-42, in a non-league contest.
