Kentucky High School Basketball - Thomas Nelson ripped by Athens Academy
December 30, 2022: Bardstown, KY 40004 The Athens Academy Spartans basketball team scored 58 points and held the host Thomas Nelson Generals to 32 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Friday.
The Spartans now sport a 11-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Union County for a AA Region 8 contest on Friday, January 6. Athens Academy will meet a Panthers team coming off a 72-46 non-league win over Towns County (Hiawassee, GA). The Panthers record now stands at 8-6.
The Generals (4-3) will now prepare for their contest against Bethlehem (Bardstown, KY). The Eagles/Banshees enter the District 19 contest with a 4-0 record.
