South Dakota High School Basketball - Wagner crushes Avon
December 30, 2022: Avon, SD 57315 Wagner Red Raiders (Wagner, SD) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Avon Pirates (Avon, SD), 68-32 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Wagner upgrades its record to 4-0 on the season. The Red Raiders travel to Ethan (Ethan, SD) to clash with the Rustlers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Rustlers go into the bout with a record of 2-1. Ethan won 46-35 in their recent non-league bout against Scotland (Scotland, SD)
Next up, the Pirates clash with the Colome Cowboys (Colome, SD) in a B Region 5 bout, on Monday, January 2. Avon will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Cowboys go into the bout with a 0-4 record after their 52-19 non-league loss to Philip (Philip, SD).
