The Pirates now possess a 13-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Spruce for a 5A Region II District 12 battle on Tuesday, January 3. Poteet will battle a Timberwolves team coming off a 40-37 league loss to Conrad (Dallas, TX). The Timberwolves record now stands at 3-6.
The Broncos (6-11) will now prepare for their battle against Little Elm (Little Elm, TX). The Lobos come into the 6A Region I District 5 battle with a 17-4 record. In their last battle, Little Elm prevailed over Marcus (Flower Mound, TX), 60-35, in a non-league battle.
