New York High School Basketball - Brushton-Moira overwhelmed by Peru
December 30, 2022: Peru, NY 12972 The Peru Nighthawks basketball team scored 62 points and restricted the visiting Brushton-Moira Panthers to 25 in the Nighthawks non-league victory on Friday.
The Nighthawks now sport a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Northeastern Clinton for a Section 7 Champlain Valley I contest on Tuesday, January 3. Peru will battle a Cougars team coming off a 55-27 league win over Ticonderoga (Ticonderoga, NY). The Cougars record now stands at 6-2.
The Panthers (0-3) will now prepare for their contest against Madrid-Waddington (Madrid, NY). The Yellowjackets come into the Section 10 East contest with a 4-1 record. In their last contest, Madrid-Waddington triumphed over St. Lawrence Central (Brasher Falls, NY), 48-36, in a non-league contest.
