Ohio High School Basketball - Buckeye Valley can't hold off Liberty Union

The Liberty Union Lions basketball team scored 43 points and restricted the host Buckeye Valley Barons to 41 in the Lions non-league victory on Friday.

The Lions now sport a 5-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fairfield Union for a Mid-State - Buckeye contest on Wednesday, January 4. Liberty Union will battle a Falcons team coming off a 56-50 league loss to Bloom-Carroll (Carroll, OH). The Falcons record now stands at 3-5.

The Barons (7-3) will now prepare for their contest against North Union (Richwood, OH). The Wildcats come into the non-league contest with a 7-2 record. In their last contest, North Union was nudged by Fairbanks (Milford Center, OH), 45-34, in a non-league contest.
