December 30, 2022: Rochester, MN 55904 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Mayo Spartans (Rochester, MN) and the visiting Byron Bears (Byron, MN), saw Mayo's basketball squad overcome Byron by a tally of 69-49.
With the victory, Mayo improves its record to 8-1 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Owatonna (Owatonna, MN) to confront the Huskies in a AAAA Section 1 challenge on Friday, January 6. The Huskies come into the challenge with a record of 2-8.
Next up, the Bears confront the Jordan Hubmen / Jaguars (Jordan, MN) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 6. Byron will attempt to improve on its 6-3 season record. The Hubmen / Jaguars come into the challenge with a 6-0 record after their 52-41 non-league win over Central (Norwood-Young America, MN).
