Texas High School Basketball - Celeste ripped by McLeod
December 30, 2022: McLeod, TX 75565 The McLeod Longhorns basketball team scored 36 points and held the visiting Celeste Blue Devils to 15 in the Longhorns non-league triumph on Friday.
The Longhorns now sport a 7-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hawkins for a 2A Region III District 21 contest on Tuesday, January 3. McLeod will meet a Hawks team coming off a 56-48 non-league win over Lindale (Lindale, TX). The Hawks record now stands at 8-2.
The Blue Devils (8-13) will now prepare for their contest against Campbell (Campbell, TX). The Indians enter the non-league contest with a 9-9 record. In their last contest, Campbell was routed by Tioga (Tioga, TX), 50-35, in a non-league contest.
