North Carolina High School Basketball - Erwin overwhelms Madison
December 30, 2022: Marshall, NC 28753 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Erwin Warriors (Asheville, NC) and the host Madison Patriots (Marshall, NC), saw Erwin's basketball squad wallop Madison by a tally of 50-22.
With the victory, Erwin improves its record to 6-6 on the campaign. The Warriors host Smoky Mountain (Sylva, NC) to confront the Mustangs in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 3. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 6-5. Smoky Mountain won 55-52 in their recent non-league challenge against Brevard (Brevard, NC)
Next up, the Patriots confront the Draughn Wildcats (Valdese, NC) in a 1A/2A Conference 42 challenge, on Tuesday, January 3. Madison will attempt to improve on its 2-10 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 8-3 record after their 54-38 non-league win over Freedom (Morganton, NC).
