December 30, 2022: Los Angeles, CA 90042 The Franklin Panthers basketball team (Los Angeles, CA), was overwhelmed 52-29 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Rio Mesa Spartans (Oxnard, CA)
The Spartans now possess a 7-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Oxnard for a Channel battle on Thursday, January 5. Rio Mesa will confront a Yellowjackets team coming off a 50-27 non-league win over Oakwood (North Hollywood, CA). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 12-4.
The Panthers (5-7) will now prepare for their battle against Sun Valley Magnet (Sun Valley, CA). The Pioneers come into the non-league battle with a 1-4 record. In their last battle, Sun Valley Magnet was overwhelmed by Alliance Marine-Innovation & Technology (Sun Valley, CA), 34-13, in a league battle.
