Lewiston-Porter Lancers (Youngstown, NY) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Frewsburg Bears (Frewsburg, NY), 79-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Lewiston-Porter upgrades its record to 6-2 on the season. The Lancers travel to North Tonawanda (North Tonawanda, NY) to clash with the Lumberjacks in a Section 6 Niagara - Frontier bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Lumberjacks go into the bout with a record of 1-0. North Tonawanda won 48-32 in their recent league bout against Niagara-Wheatfield (Sanborn, NY)

Next up, the Bears clash with the Salamanca Warriors (Salamanca, NY) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 5. Frewsburg will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 4-3 record after their 39-36 non-league loss to Ellicottville (Ellicottville, NY).
