Guyer Wildcats (Denton, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Keller Indians (Keller, TX), 53-36 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Guyer upgrades its record to 10-6 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Braswell (Little Elm, TX) to play the Bengals in a 6A Region I District 5 bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Bengals go into the bout with a record of 17-3. Braswell won 53-49 in their recent non-league bout against Mansfield Legacy (Mansfield, TX)

Next up, the Indians play the Byron Nelson Bobcat (Trophy Club, TX) in a 6A Region I District 4 bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Keller will attempt to upgrade on its 14-7 season record. The Bobcat go into the bout with a 11-10 record after their 51-44 non-league loss to Sanger (Sanger, TX).
