Texas High School Basketball - Hawkins fells Lindale
December 30, 2022: Hawkins, TX 75765 Hawkins Hawks (Hawkins, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Lindale Eagles (Lindale, TX), 56-48 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Hawkins upgrades its record to 8-2 on the season. The Hawks travel to McLeod (McLeod, TX) to clash with the Longhorns in a 2A Region III District 21 bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Longhorns go into the bout with a record of 7-10. McLeod won 36-15 in their recent non-league bout against Celeste (Celeste, TX)
Next up, the Eagles clash with the Van Vandals (Van, TX) in a 4A Region II District 16 bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Lindale will attempt to upgrade on its 5-8 season record. The Vandals go into the bout with a 11-2 record after their 51-30 non-league win over Quitman (Quitman, TX).
