December 30, 2022: Flemington, NJ 08822 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Hunterdon Central Red Devils (Flemington, NJ) and the visiting Payne Tech Lions (Newark, NJ), saw Hunterdon Central's basketball squad knock off Payne Tech by a count of 41-33.
With the victory, Hunterdon Central upgrades its record to 2-5 on the campaign. The Red Devils travel to Franklin (Somerset, NJ) to play the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 3. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 2-3. Franklin lost 53-40 in their recent non-league challenge against West Orange (West Orange, NJ)
Next up, the Lions play the East Side Red Raiders (Newark, NJ) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 3. Payne Tech will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Red Raiders come into the challenge with a 3-3 record after their 64-27 non-league loss to Central (Newark, NJ).
