Texas High School Basketball - Keller Central holds off Melissa
December 30, 2022: Melissa, TX 75454 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Keller Central Chargers (Keller, TX) and the host Melissa Cardinals (Melissa, TX), saw Keller Central's basketball squad hold off Melissa by a tally of 35-30.
With the victory, Keller Central improves its record to 20-6 on the campaign. The Chargers host Southlake Carroll (Southlake, TX) to confront the Dragons in a 6A Region I District 4 challenge on Tuesday, January 3. The Dragons come into the challenge with a record of 17-3. Southlake Carroll won 62-28 in their recent non-league challenge against Prosper (Prosper, TX)
Next up, the Cardinals confront the Sherman Bearcats (Sherman, TX) in a 5A Region II District 13 challenge, on Tuesday, January 3. Melissa will attempt to improve on its 9-15 season record. The Bearcats come into the challenge with a 14-8 record after their 61-38 non-league win over Emerson (McKinney, TX).
