The Marysville Vikings basketball team scored 40 points and restricted the host Meridian Mustangs to 38 in the Vikings non-league victory on Friday.

The Vikings now sport a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Chippewa Valley for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 5.

The Mustangs (6-1) will now prepare for their contest against Freeland (Freeland, MI). The Falcons come into the non-league contest with a 5-2 record. In their last contest, Freeland edged Hemlock (Hemlock, MI), 43-39, in a non-league contest.
