Texas High School Basketball - Steele winner over Midway
December 30, 2022: Waco, TX 76712 The Steele Knights (Cibolo, TX) basketball felled the host Midway Panthers (Waco, TX), 43-32 in Friday's non-league test.
The Knights (16-10) will now prepare for their test against Judson (Converse, TX). The Rockets go into the 6A Region IV District 27 test with a 13-10 record. In their last test, Judson thwarted Westlake (Austin, TX), 58-37, in a non-league test.
The Panthers now own a 14-9 record. They play next when they travel to Copperas Cove for a 6A Region II District 12 test on Tuesday, January 3. Midway will encounter a Bulldawgs squad coming off a 54-51 league loss to Weiss (Pflugerville, TX). The Bulldawgs record now stands at 7-14.
