Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Wise Pumas (Upper Marlboro, MD) and the host New Town (Owings Mills, MD), saw Wise's basketball squad overcome New Town by a tally of 44-25.

With the victory, Wise improves its record to 7-0 on the campaign. The Pumas travel to Flowers (Springdale, MD) to confront the Jaguars in a Prince George's County 4A challenge on Tuesday, January 3. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a record of 4-1. Flowers lost 53-40 in their recent non-league challenge against Perry (Gilbert, AZ)

Next up, the confront the Catonsville Comets (Baltimore, MD) in a Baltimore County 2 test, on Wednesday, January 4. New Town will attempt to advance on its 5-3 season record. The Comets go into the test with a 2-2 record after their 42-40 non-league loss to Chesapeake (Pasadena, MD).
