The Seneca Fighting Irish basketball team (Seneca, IL), was nudged 47-45 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Princeton Tigers (Princeton, IL)

The Tigers now possess a 14-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Newman Central Catholic for a Three Rivers - East battle on Thursday, January 5. Princeton will confront a Comets team coming off a 32-28 non-league loss to Hall (Spring Valley, IL). The Comets record now stands at 3-13.

The Fighting Irish (10-6) will now prepare for their battle against Dwight (Dwight, IL). The Trojans come into the Tri-County battle with a 3-7 record. In their last battle, Dwight was nudged by Wilmington (Wilmington, IL), 44-40, in a non-league battle.
