Archbishop Hoban Knights (Akron, OH) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Centerville Elks (Centerville, OH), 60-56 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Archbishop Hoban upgrades its record to 5-4 on the season. The Knights host St. Vincent-St. Mary (Akron, OH) to clash with the Fighting Irish in a non-league bout on Friday, January 5. The Fighting Irish go into the bout with a record of 3-6. St. Vincent-St. Mary lost 87-68 in their recent non-league bout against St. Ignatius (Cleveland, OH)

Next up, the Elks clash with the Wayne Warriors (Huber Heights, OH) in a Greater Western Ohio bout, on Tuesday, January 2. Centerville will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 5-3 record after their 47-41 non-league win over Chaminade Julienne Catholic (Dayton, OH).
