California High School Basketball - Basha nips La Mirada

December 30, 2023: La Mirada, CA 90638

Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Basha Bears (Chandler, AZ) and the host La Mirada Matadores (La Mirada, CA), saw Basha's basketball squad hold off La Mirada by a count of 62-60.

With the victory, Basha upgrades its record to 10-4 on the campaign. The Bears host Boulder Creek (Anthem, AZ) to play the Jaguars in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, January 3. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a record of 11-6. Boulder Creek won 73-66 in their recent non-league challenge against Valley Christian (Chandler, AZ)

Next up, the Matadores play the Lynwood Knights (Lynwood, CA) in a Gateway challenge, on Wednesday, January 3. La Mirada will attempt to upgrade on its 11-7 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 11-5 record after their 82-69 non-league win over Roosevelt (Seattle, WA).
