Illinois High School Basketball - St. Charles East fells Berwyn/Cicero Morton
December 30, 2023: Cicero, IL 60804 St. Charles East Fighting Saints (St. Charles, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Berwyn/Cicero Morton Mustangs (Cicero, IL), 62-44 in a non-league bout.
With the win, St. Charles East upgrades its record to 4-12 on the season. The Fighting Saints travel to Geneva (Geneva, IL) to play the Vikings in a DuKane bout on Thursday, January 4. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 6-9. Geneva won 52-29 in their recent non-league bout against Naperville Central (Naperville, IL)
Next up, the Mustangs play the Proviso East Pirates (Maywood, IL) in a West Suburban - Gold bout, on Friday, January 5. Berwyn/Cicero Morton will attempt to upgrade on its 3-9 season record. The Pirates go into the bout with a 6-5 record after their 72-57 non-league loss to Whitney Young (Chicago, IL).
