The Breck Mustangs basketball team scored 87 points and held the visiting Hopkins Royals to 80 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Mustangs now sport a 6-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Blake for a AA Section 5 contest on Tuesday, January 2. Breck will battle a Bears team coming off a 78-50 non-league win over Apollo (St. Cloud, MN). The Bears record now stands at 7-2.

The Royals (7-2) will now prepare for their contest against South St. Paul (South St. Paul, MN). The Packers enter the non-league contest with a 2-5 record. In their last contest, South St. Paul was nudged by Mayo (Rochester, MN), 63-57, in a non-league contest.
