Texas High School Basketball - Breckenridge edges New Deal
December 30, 2023: Breckenridge, TX 76424 The Breckenridge Buckaroos (Breckenridge, TX) basketball nipped the visiting New Deal Lions (New Deal, TX), 57-53 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Buckaroos (7-12) will now prepare for their test against Eastland (Eastland, TX). The Mavericks go into the 3A Region I District 8 test with a 8-8 record. In their last test, Eastland got by Roscoe (Roscoe, TX), 46-40, in a non-league test.
The Lions now own a 3-14 record. They play next when they host Ralls for a 2A Region I District 4 test on Tuesday, January 2. New Deal will encounter a Jackrabbits squad coming off a 80-49 non-league loss to Forsan (Forsan, TX). The Jackrabbits record now stands at 7-8.
