Louisiana High School Basketball - Lafayette Christian Academy holds off Brother Martin
December 30, 2023: Lafayette, LA 70507 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Lafayette Christian Academy Knights (Lafayette, LA) and the visiting Brother Martin Crusaders (New Orleans, LA), saw Lafayette Christian Academy's basketball squad hold off Brother Martin by a tally of 55-52.
With the victory, Lafayette Christian Academy improves its record to 15-1 on the campaign. The Knights host Jennings (Jennings, LA) to confront the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Monday, January 8. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 9-4.
Next up, the Crusaders confront the St. Augustine Purple Knights (New Orleans, LA) in a 5A District 9 challenge, on Tuesday, January 2. Brother Martin will attempt to improve on its 13-6 season record. The Purple Knights come into the challenge with a 13-3 record after their 53-42 non-league loss to Madison Prep Academy (Baton Rouge, LA).
